Load the First Save file named Idleway(whatever the hell the rest of the name says) I made a quick backup of my LoZ OoT game and basically just renamed the Hax*Save file to the same as my backup aside from the (N3DS_x.xU_hax25) at the end (because that is the name of the backup that the powersave application reads) then proceeded to restore the hax backup to my Game Card and from there just ran the exploit like you would after installing it directly from the installer Then from there is where I took the save file from and placed it in my Powersaves Local Save folder (the 2.5hax version of OoTHax on the github apparently doesn't need the payload.bin on the root of your SD but I had it there just incase)

Put the Installer files on your SD/MicroSD in the /3ds folder

Download the installer from the github but ALL the steps for installing OoT3DHax, up until actually installing the hack via Homebrew are the same Now I cannot confirm this will work for all 3DS users, as I only have the Payloaded save files for (U) OoT games withing the 9.9-10.3 Firmware Range. Thankfully in another thread I got a reply from the User: zoogie, with a link to exactly what I needed to solve my problem. My only problem was getting that Save File that was prepatched with the OoTHax data. This sparked the idea to do the same thing with the OoTHax.

Remembering that Gateway itself had a tutorial somewhere on how to use a hacked Save file exploit on OoT to launch the gateway Firmware that could be injected to the cartridge version of the game via Datel's 3DS Powersave Device. Unfortunately its a Secondary exploit after using something like NinjaHax to get the initial load of the homebrew running to access the installer.

Where do I end up at the end? It says to proceed to Homebrew Launcher (no browser) ( (no-browser)) but not which version the DSiWare downgrade lands on?Īre there any point in me staying on 11.0 on the Target doing this? As I see it I will end up at a step where I need to do ctr-httpwn if I'm on a Target<11.2, but see no immediate downsides to doing a system update before this process?Ĭan I create a new NNID on my Source 3ds after the whole process? What state will the Source be in overall, the exact same as before the transfer (CFW 11.This Post is to help those people who like me (until recently) had no easily accessible way to load the Homebrew Launcher without either buying online a copy of CubicNinja or Sk圓DS(to use a ROM of CubicNinja) or finding some annoyingly complex way to run linux off a partition of your computers hard-drive just to have access to making a working Smashhax Beacon on a 3DS running 10.x Firmware (Also didn't have a backup plan for another hax* such as Themehax before updating their console)Īfter searching online for days trying to find some way around this lack of exploitation for the newest 3DS firmware I came to the Conclusion that the only way to regain access to the Homebrew Launcher was through OoTHax. How do I do that when there's no homebrew on the Target to begin with? Step 2 in section 1 of is to backup my saves on Target 3ds. I think I'm going to do a DSiWare downgrade using buying "Legends of Exidia" and using "Steel Diver: Sub Wars" as my entrypoint. My own o3ds 11.0.0-33e does not have a NNID either so system transfer should not be a problem. I got hold of a o3ds with CFW 11.2 and no NNID.

I'll preface with: I've been scouring gbatemps and r/3dshacks for a couple days now trying to get the correct setup and everything, still a little fuzzy on some of the details.ġ: I have a N3DS XL on 11.0.0-33U, and a 32-gig Micro SD with the starterpack, the custom ctr-httpwn, as well as the payload Ģ: I haven't been able to successfully get the browserhax working due to my shitty Comcast modem/router combo - even when trying to parental-controls block - so I'm partitioning my HDD for a stable Windows installation to use the Fiddler method.ģ: The Powersaves Pro is only $15 w/ free shipping for Prime members today, would this be a better route? I still can't comprehend the hierarchy of stability of methods.ģ.5: Would it be easier more stable to use the OoTHax+PowerSaves method vs the Fiddler method to access Homebrew or is that a moot point?Ĥ: This is all in preparation of the release of the downgrade method for 11.0.0.33 so we can then install custom firmware, right? So what would be the problem in just waiting to do all this till that was dropped?
